Anyssa Martinez, 22, from California, met her current boyfriend, 28-year-old Nathan Hatton, via Instagram in early 2020 after joining their DM.

But six months after their romance, the college student was stunned to learn that they had actually interacted months before they started dating, during a parade at Disneyland she attended with her family in 2019.

He came across a video he took from a Disneyland parade he was attending in 2019. In it, Nathan, who works as an artist at the theme park, was greeting them.

He played Cinderella’s charioteer in the electric parade and caught Anyssa’s eye as she watched it, unaware that they would become boyfriend and girlfriend months later.

“I remember it very clearly. I was very surprised when I realized that the driver in the video was Nathan!

Electric Parade has always been my favourite, and finding this video makes it even more meaningful.

“I always greet artists, but getting me noticed in such a big crowd made me feel special. One of my favorite memories of Disneyland”.

Anyssa said she was “surprised” after Nathan showed the video.

He continued: “When I asked him why he was waving his hat at me that night, he said there was something about me that caught his attention.

Nathan played Cinderella’s coachman during the parade, holding out his hat as he watched her, unaware that they would be boyfriend and girlfriend months later.

Anyssa said Nathan told her there was “something about her that caught her attention” and that it was “thought through from the very beginning”.

He posted the reveal on TikTok last month, and the clip quickly went viral with over 277,000 views and 52,000 likes.

Talking about her video going viral, Anyssa told Jam Press: “I thought this video would only reach a few hundred people, so it was a shock when so many people saw our story.

“It was really big that we got so many sweet messages. It’s common for people to get hate on social media, but the reaction to our video has been very positive.

“I’m so glad our story made so many people smile.”
