Healthy Easter Breakfast: Health coach makes delicious hot sandwiches with French toast

A health coach has unveiled an easy way to make warm, high-protein French toast at home.

Bec first cracked three eggs and added 150ml of unsweetened almond milk, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract and 1½ teaspoons cinnamon to a large bowl.

How to make hot french toast with cross buns

Materials:

  • 1 pack of traditional fruit hot cross buns
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 ml unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 160 g protein-rich yogurt
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup of blueberries
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons of brown sugar

Method:

  • Crack three eggs and add 150ml unsweetened almond milk, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract and 1½ teaspoon cinnamon to a large bowl and whisk all ingredients together.
  • Cut the hot cross bun pack in half and place the bottom on a baking sheet.
  • Before adding the balls, pour half of the dough over the scones and pour the rest over it.
  • Add 2 teaspoons of brown sugar and ½ teaspoon of cinnamon and cook
  • Serve the cross bun warm with protein-rich yogurt, blueberries, and raspberries.
