Princess Charlotte greets from the back of the helicopter as Prince William completes the “perfect” landing.

Princess Charlotte arrived at the Commonwealth Games in style – she was flown by her father, Prince William, to Birmingham by helicopter.

On Tuesday, the seven-year-old princess enjoyed a day of swimming and playing hockey with her parents, both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, 40. He enchanted royal fans with his enthusiasm throughout the day.

The photos showed Charlotte’s tiredness during the day, who started making funny faces at her mother, no doubt reminding parents all over the world of her children.

But while Charlotte has proven she can be like any other little girl, a video of the princess arriving by helicopter reminds royal fans that she’s still a VIP.

Footage shows the Duke of Cambridge, 40, arriving in style as he landed a helicopter on the Tally Ho training ground used by West Midlands police on Tuesday.

William looked calm and serene as he alighted from the helicopter where a Range Rover was waiting to take him to the Commonwealth Games.

A video on Cobra Emergency’s YouTube channel shows William landing in a Bell 429 “GlobalRanger” helicopter at the Tally Ho training center used by West Midlands police.

Royal eagle-eyed fans could barely see Charlotte in her striped dress rocking Rachel Riley with her hair pulled back, sitting in the back as the plane landed.

People commenting on the YouTube video praised William for his “perfect” landing.

The Duke of Cambridge steered the helicopter for a soft landing on a football field before the family landed and hopped aboard a black range rover to head to Birmingham’s Sandwell Aquatics centre.

William, 40, appears to be ignoring the wishes of his grandmother, the Queen, who reportedly hated seeing her family fly in a helicopter.

Last December, a source told The Sun: “His Majesty told close friends and courtiers that he wanted William to stop flying, especially in bad weather, as helicopters are not the safest means of transport”.

The source added that it made the queen “nervous” and kept her awake at night.

Under the royal family, there is already a general protocol that in the event of a disaster, those present at the time of succession should not fly on the same plane.

However, Prince William is an experienced pilot trained in the RAF and often flies in a helicopter with his family.

His prowess was evident when he landed uneventfully on Tuesday.

After arriving at the 2022 Commonwealth Games with the Duke of Cambridge, Kate and Charlotte, he also met his uncle, Prince Edward, 58, Sophie Wessex, 57, and Lady Louise Windsor, 18, and James Viscount Severn, 14.

Before the Cambridges went hockey, he watched the men’s 1500m freestyle at Sandwell Aquatics Center.

Acknowledging that gymnastics is her favorite sport, Charlotte seems to enjoy swimming, but the seven-year-old’s attention seemed to fade when hockey started.

The little princess stole the show in a series of hilarious photos of her looking a little exhausted and ready to go home.

Fortunately for Charlotte, the helicopter ride back to Kensington Palace was a short trip.
