Jacinda Ardern has been lauded for staying “real” with her social media followers after she admitted she was suffering from a hilarious wardrobe malfunction.
The New Zealand prime minister posted a photo on Instagram of the controversial shoe choice he should wear in parliament on Monday.
Alongside the image of rubber boots covered in mud, the mother told her 1.7 million followers that she had snatched rubber boots in the dark.
The Prime Minister wrote “Ahhh daylight saving time” on Monday.
“Poor Clarke got up a few times with our little one, so when they were both finally asleep at 6 a.m. and I knew getting my shoes would wake them up, there was only one option. Rubber boots at work.

Ms. Ardern, 41, and her partner, eight-year-old Clarke Gayford, 44, welcomed their daughter, Neve Te Aroha, in June 2018.
The prime minister remained at work until the birth of the three-year-old, returning to work after just six weeks of maternity leave.
Ardern is the second elected female leader to have children during her tenure and the first since Benazier Bhutto in 1990.
