An etiquette expert has revealed the stylish way to eat a Kit Kat if you get a Kit Kat in a formal British dining setting.

Lucy Challenger, 38, based in London and Berkshire, is the founder and CEO of Mayfair Polo and Tweed, a top agency seeking employees for high net worth clients.

He’s also the creator of TikTok and has garnered nearly 10 million likes for his videos that teach Gen Z social media users the basic manners and etiquette they need to adapt to the higher levels of society.

In an ironic video that has recently had nearly 4 million views, Lucy explained the right way to eat Kit Kat in the unlikely event that it was served to you in a stylish setting.

In the clip, he says, “I’m going to show you the official British way to eat Kit Kat.

Using a plate, he gracefully opened the two-fingered stick, cut it in half, and bit it neatly from finger to finger.

“The odds of you being served KitKat in an official British restaurant now are very, very, very low. But if so, how are you going to eat it?’

Before showing off the correct technique for eating Kit Kat, Lucy shared some facts about the bar and noted that it was invented in York in 1935 and was originally called Roundtree’s Chocolate Crisp.

He entered the tutorial part of the video and began to gracefully hide in the bar, constantly commenting.

“I unpack the Kit Kat with my fingers, remove the sheet of paper and place it on the plate,” he explained.

After carefully unpacking the custard, removing the outer cover and foil, and placing it neatly, it’s time to tackle the stick itself.

He said: “I cut the KitKat in half, lifted one part of the Kit Kat, put the other part on the plate, and then put it in my mouth as a nice little bite to eat.

“Keep eating Kit Kat until the KitKat is completely gone,” he finished.

Meanwhile, a third person shared their advice, writing: “Bit both sides and drink the tea until it melts, then eat it.”
