The buyer’s lawyer, David Morrell, said at immobiliare.com.au that entering the property was “like stepping into a British property” and the new owners would have to spend another $15 million renovating the house built in 1939.
“You must have a big appetite to buy a particular property,” he said, and he believes there are “two or three” buyers who are interested.
“You don’t get any changes in (renewal) three years… so someone who wants to hit a big flagpole and say ‘look at me’.”
