Thaynna Dantas is the first transgender athlete in Brazil and the world of bodybuilding. She is now in the running for Miss BumBum and she is hoping for the prestigious title.
A transgender model is vying for this year’s Miss BumBum title and hopes to get the title.
Thaynna Dantas, who represents the state of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil, decided to participate to show that people are equal.
She revealed that she just wanted to be noticed, respected and recognized.

Speaking of the competition, Thaynna said: “Competing in a championship internationally has always been a dream.
“Why can’t a trans woman enter a cis competition? I want to make history. And break this taboo.
“We are all the same. I intend to take a lot of learning, a lot of recognition and respect from this competition.”
Thaynna, who is Brazil’s first transgender athlete, trains about 2 or more hours a day in the gym.
And now she hopes to show off her best body on stage in front of the contestants.
The model added: “I can’t wait for the event to come and sometimes I try too hard.
“I just want to be in the top 15 and show my potential as a person.”
And Thaynna hopes to inspire others who are too scared to start anywhere.
He continued: “I think everything changes, it’s true, it’s a new stage and everything that’s happening is incredible.
“Having that exposure in a competition like this is great for me.
“Thank goodness so far the welcome and affection people have had with me has been incredible. Very satisfying.”
Thaynna says she has always considered herself a woman and her transition process has been gradual.
She concluded: “I have never felt less of a woman to have a male sex organ, I am really a woman.”
