“My husband and I are heartbroken when our girlfriend leaves us, it’s hard”

Breaking up with someone is never pleasant for anyone.

But having a shoulder to cry on tends to make things a lot easier.

People usually look to their best friend or mother to make sure love isn’t really dead and not just something straight out of a fairy tale.

However, for Jess Demarco, when her heart breaks, she experiences emotions with her husband as they go out with the same woman at the same time.

Jess and Stephen Demarco, who live in Florida, USA, are polyamorous, which basically means they are in an open relationship.

Together for 13 years, the couple consider themselves husband and wife, but they have yet to officially wear a ring because they don’t want their girlfriend to feel unequal in the relationship.

Despite all the dating and sex between the three of them, sometimes things just don’t work out.

And unfortunately, previous girlfriends broke up with Jess and Stephen.

Now, the couple in their thirties spoke exclusively to the Air Force about what it’s like to see their shared relationship come to an end and how lucky they are to have each other when the going gets tough.

Jess explained: “[Being polyamorous] it’s like being in a normal relationship, when you meet someone there is this urge to get closer and your heart starts beating and all.

“But there is hope that it will turn into true love where you can sit on the sofa on Sunday and look absolutely worse and make yourself a sandwich and salad made or do the same thing.

“We hope it turns into love, but it’s like any relationship.”

Despite the hope that things will turn from lust to love, it doesn’t always go the way the couple wanted.

Stephen candidly shared: “If we both love the person and break up, it’s like we’re both breaking up, it’s not like I’m happy and she’s happy.” [Jess] sad because a person wanted it to work. We’re both like “shit, we just broke up with both of us.”

“We’ve both been there.

“It’s like any other real relationship and we’ve been in it for so long it feels so normal to us.”

The blonde shared that she declared herself bisexual and wanted to explore what it meant to the couple, so they both started dating women.

“So originally, since I was bisexual, I wanted a girl, we wanted to keep growing together,” said Jess.

“We didn’t want to go out with a lot of different people and have an open relationship, we wanted my needs met to go out with a man and then feel the need to go out with a woman.

“So find a woman who also likes to go out with men and thinks it’s nice to go out with me as a woman, and satisfy her double need to have her cake and eat it too.”

“Initially we just wanted a girl to live in a house – a closed triad, that’s what they call it.”

Although that was their original plan, the couple got used to dating other people.

“But the more we go out with other women, the more we go out with beautiful women, she says, ‘Oh my God, that girl over there is beautiful too.

‘Then who knows where it might end,’ Stephen said.

Jess and Stephen also have an OnlyFans where they film their dates and some hot sessions between the sheets.

They previously shared: “There aren’t many couples who go out and find dates or girlfriends or show that kind of extras. [naughty content].

“On OnlyFans, we show explicit content with no guidelines, we show our nighttime adventures and all that good stuff, and some of our stuff ended up on Pornhub.”

Jess and Stephen claimed they made £ 400,000 a year on the hot site.
