Colin Farrell, who played Ozz Cobb in the first season of Penguin, said that he would love to take part in the second season of the project. Apparently, a possible continuation of the miniseries is being discussed behind closed doors at HBO.
The actor also shared in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that his contract includes participation in at least three films about Batman. And if he will have a rather minor role in the second, it is quite possible that the Penguin will feature prominently in the third.
“I like to act in things that are critically approved. “If there’s a great idea and the script is really strong and it’s as strong as the first season or even stronger, of course I’ll do it,” said the artist.
To recap, Penguin was originally intended to be a miniseries that aimed to combine Matt Reeves’ 2022 film The Batman with its upcoming sequel. Given the project’s success, Matt Reeves and showrunner Lauren Lefranc have been discussing a possible sequel with HBO, although it has yet to be officially announced.
Let us also remind you that the “Penguin” series has become one of the most watched new products on the streaming service. It also performed excellently on cable channel HBO. All eight episodes of Penguin are now available to watch.
