In adolescence, most of us empathize with the main characters who are subject to attacks from jealous rivals. When, despite all the difficulties, the unfortunate managed to achieve everything, together we triumphed over the villains whom we sincerely hated. However, after a while, while watching our favorite movies and TV series, our perception changes and we sympathize with whores more and more, and even copy their style and attitude.
For some reason, their actions no longer seem like pure evil, and their motives are often more understandable than the logic of the main characters’ actions. It is no coincidence that more and more films are being released about not-so-bad anti-heroes such as Maleficent, Harley Quinn, Cruella, Miranda Priestly.
Why are they attracting us? A degree of freedom that probably allows you to show yourself at your best and worst. They don’t have their heads in the clouds, but they take things into their own hands. Like us, they are prone to making mistakes. Their bold behavior and sexual energy are also very nice.
We remember the most eager brats and evil bitches from movies and TV series that you can’t help but admire.
Regina George, “Mean Girls”
Played by: Rachel McAdams
The school’s first beauty, Regina George, always goes with her entourage – three friends, each with their own role. At the first call, they are ready to obediently do anything, including organizing real persecution of anyone who dares to challenge him. All her friends wear pink, her favorite color. Regina is generous to her loved ones but ruthless to her enemies. Even though Regina compliments the film’s main character, Cady, she needs to know her weaknesses so she can manipulate her.
Regina trusts no one and is deeply afraid of losing her status as the most popular girl in school, and when her fear comes true we see how vulnerable she truly is. He does not accept the weaknesses of others because he is ashamed of himself. Regina comes from a wealthy family that values success. And apparently, it was his parents who endowed him with an excellent student complex, but this is expressed not in studies, but in status. It is very difficult to always be the first in everything, so he can only deliberately put a rim on the wheels of more successful rivals or wear out his body with dubious diets and other stresses.
Deep down, we are all like Regina in our quest to be the best version of ourselves: We burden ourselves with neuroses and complain about our dreams coming true for other people.
Catherine Merteuil, “Cruel Intentions”
Played by: Sarah Michelle Gellar
Ruthless rich heiress Catherine Merteuil plays with other people’s lives and especially loves to share her love victories with the same womanizer Sebastian Valmont. Reese Witherspoon’s hero bets him to seduce modest girl Annette, but she turns out to be a tough nut to crack. Compared to the main character, she is not that naive and it is obvious that she already has a traumatic experience behind her. Since the movie is based on the epistolary novel “Dangerous Liaisons” by Choderlos de Laclos, you can better understand Madame de Merteuil herself after reading it.
She and Sebastian are hedonists who have tried all the temptations in their youth and can therefore only enjoy sophisticated ways. This makes them monsters in the eyes of others, but they are very weak inside. And if Sebastian manages to return to his former self at least for a short time, Catherine will have to suffer from the inability to experience love. He just knows the feeling of superiority and that’s why he starts to get jealous of Sebastian.
Katherine may not admit to herself that Sebastian has always been more important to her, but he has actually pushed her towards someone else. Unable to bear the thought of being unloved, he started a game to create the illusion of control, as if everything was happening solely according to his will.
In fact, Katherine is much more luxurious and attractive than Annette, but her inferiority complex does not allow her to be happy. She also has a great sense of style.
Cher Horowitz, “Clueless”

You can stare at Cher Horowitz’s thick hair and stylish outfits endlessly. Anyone who has read Jane Austen’s novel Emma understands that Cher is the spoiled girl who interferes in other people’s relationships. Like Amelie’s heroine, she really tries to shift the focus from their relationships to others, but she also suggests, in a rather crude way, how they should live and what they should feel. This makes him a controversial character. Of course, the blonde bitch has pissed us off more than once, but now it looks like most of her words mean something. After all, it’s true that sometimes it’s better to be at home than at parties where you have to wear tight dresses. And physical education classes have almost no health benefits.

Megan Fox wowed boys and girls alike with her performance as Jennifer, the sexy cheerleader who is unfortunately possessed by a demon.
Of course, he caused a lot of trouble, and murder is nothing to admire. But the moment when she turns down an obsessive admirer at the party is precious. In fact, Jennifer more than once served as support and protection for her friend Needy, who became more courageous next to her. Agree, is it nice when someone does not abandon you in case of danger, but serves as a lightning rod?
Despite the demon penetrating Jennifer’s body, she herself kept a safe distance until the end for fear of harming her friend.

Of course, the rich girl who is causing so much trouble actually desires love and acceptance. His family doesn’t care much about him, and he unconsciously takes revenge on them with his behavior. The rest become victims of his bad mood. But Poppy doesn’t do evil for evil’s sake. When he is accepted among his peers, the need to do something bad automatically disappears.
We think we all wish we could have a friend like Poppy Moore.
Alison DiLaurentis, “Pretty Little Liars”

Alison’s sudden disappearance becomes the catalyst for the series’ plot, and Alison initially only appears in the four friends’ flashbacks or hallucinations. And let’s face it, his behavior resembles that of a sociopath. At first the police find her body and everyone believes her dead, but it is later revealed that Alison is alive and unharmed, but murder is now suspected. I agree that his character made the situation alarming on more than one occasion.
Yes, his character is not sweet. He says unpleasant things quite openly to his close friends. It seems to him that he is smarter than everyone else and knows better what is right, and this arrogance is disgusting. Alison is a paranoid person who needs to control people and place in order to feel safe. Since Alison knows many people’s secrets, she automatically becomes the focus of danger and therefore attracts strange events. He manipulates people without any remorse, but does not consider what others are willing to do to protect their secrets.
Looking at his character in retrospect, it becomes clear why his friends still love him. Alison truly values friendship. Just remember how he disliked Jenna Marshall because she refused to be his friend. In fact, he is a natural leader who can make the right decisions, even if they seem bad at first glance.
Blair Waldorf, “Gossip Girl”

This is the person who truly spoils the blood of everyone in an elite school. But Blair Waldorf doesn’t look like such a bitch anymore. At first we wondered why she hated Serena so much, but can you forgive your best friend for stealing your boyfriend? No matter how hurt her feelings and pride were, Blair ultimately continued to communicate with both Serena and her ex-boyfriend Nate. Maybe because he decided not to live with the pain of the past and focused on the present? Imagine how Chuck Bass, the handsome playboy who is ready to do anything next to her, has changed. Of course, their relationship wasn’t simple either, but no one is born wise. Blair made mistakes, made mistakes, but always tried to make the right decision for everyone she loved.
Yes, he was very attached to Jenny and his brother Dan, but they both gave him surprises. Jenny went from being a sweet girl to a bitch who spent the night with her boyfriend. And even then, having stepped on the rake a second time, Blair forgave them both. But her relationship with Dan Humphrey turned out to be completely unexpected.
