It was reported on the Marvelvision podcast that Barry Keoghan is in talks to return to the role of Joker as the main villain in the third installment of the series, not in Batman 2. It is also planned to shoot a separate series about the villain. In the multi-part project, the events will take place after the second part of the movie.
Keoghan’s Joker appeared at the end of the first episode of the movie starring Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz. In the film, Barry appeared as an unnamed Arkham inmate talking to the Riddler. There have since been rumors that he will play a larger role in the sequel.
