It is interesting that not only horror films are scary, but also the terrible events that occur on their sets are shocking. Now we will tell you these, so you can look at your favorite horror movies from a new perspective.
Psycho (1960)

The incident on the set of Psycho was more terrifying than anything in the movie. During filming, Myra Jones (a stunt double for lead actress Janet Leigh) was killed on set. Mechanic Kenneth Dean Hunt, who also worked on the film, committed the murder and later told the police that he did it to impress director Alfred Hitchcock, claiming that he was obsessed with the director famous for suspense and horror. After the senseless murder, Alfred Hitchcock gathered his cast and crew around him and said: “It looks like we now have all the motivation we need to complete this movie.”
The Amityville Horror (1979 and 2005)

The events on the set of the 1979 movie The Amityville Horror were almost as scary as the script. The first movie, starring James Brolin and Margot Kidder, was based on a true story. Brolin wasn’t keen on making the film and only agreed after something strange happened. One morning, as he read the script and got to the scary part of the story, Brolin’s pants suddenly fell off the rack, causing the actor to literally jump out of his chair in fear.
The film was remade in 2005, with Ryan Reynolds taking over the role played by Brolin. Shortly before shooting began, a body washed up on the shore right next to the set. Throughout the filming of the film, Reynolds, like the rest of the cast and crew, woke up at 3:15 a.m. every morning. The real-life murders on which the films are based occurred during this period.
The Twilight Zone (1983)

Vic Morrow was killed on the set of the 1983 movie The Twilight Zone. But what makes this tragedy particularly strange is that Morrow predicted his own death. A year before shooting began, Morrow took out a $5 million life insurance policy on himself and told friends and family that he had a premonition that something bad would happen to him in the upcoming film.
In fact, during the filming of a scene in The Twilight Zone, a helicopter crashed and Morrow was decapitated. Two child actors also died in the accident, which led to a lengthy investigation and trial. It was later revealed that the film’s production designer had mistakenly drawn a burned-out helicopter in the middle of the river in his sketches, which was actually a harbinger of disaster.
Emily Rose’s Six Demons (2005)

Jennifer Carpenter reported that the radio in her hotel room was mysteriously turning on and off while filming the 2005 film The Exorcism of Emily Rose. And every time he played “Alive” by Pearl Jam. Other actors also claimed that their radio and/or television turned on for no apparent reason. And like Carpenter, they had heard about Pearl Jam getting hit. These incidents disturbed the cast and crew so much that they eventually removed the radios from their hotel rooms.
The Nun’s Curse (2018)

Corin Hardy, director of The Nun, said that he encountered supernatural events for the first time during filming. They filmed the scene in a real underground Romanian castle, in a dark, long corridor lined with crosses. He watched the scene on the monitors and saw that a room was filled with what he assumed were local crew members sitting behind him, watching as well. After the scene ended, he turned around to see their reactions. There was no one there. Corinne points out that there is only one door in the room and it is right in front of her.
Curse Box (2011)

According to actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, events ranged from light bulbs exploding in a draft-free room and unexplained cold winds to a mysterious fire that destroyed all film materials in storage, including that box. To this day, none of them know the cause of the fire, as there were no electrical problems or signs of arson.
The Ring 2 (2005)

According to The Ring 2 director Hideo Nakata, the film crew encountered many chilling real-life situations that were suspiciously similar to the events that occurred in the movie. Hideo explained that in the film, water is used as a symbol of someone’s evil spirit. So it was especially frightening for him and the rest of the crew when the production office was flooded just days after shooting began. It was so bad that water was literally seeping through the walls. Additionally, as the costume designer was walking towards the set, a 6-foot deer came around the corner and charged towards him at approximately 100 mph. If he had been a few feet closer, he said, the animal would have easily knocked him down. There is a scene in the movie where Samara uses a deer to kill Rachel and Aidan.
