It turns out these aren’t just fans’ dreams. 20th Century Studios president Steve Asbell mentioned the possibility. He responded to Sandra, who questioned in a recent interview whether Hollywood was brave enough to make a sequel to the 1994 action movie.
“Hollywood is pretty brave. We are brave enough. We are sitting next to the phone. You need a great idea to create a reason worth coming back to. Something that would impress Bullock and Reeves. That could be a reason to watch the movie,” Asbell teased viewers in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter about future projects.
The boss of the film added that he would not make a sequel if Sandra and Keanu did not agree to join the project. But his doubts appear to have been in vain. Sandra Bullock recently said she would love to reunite with her longtime friend on set. He hopes to find the time to star in a movie with Keanu Reeves.
