Ryan Reynolds touchingly congratulated Hugh Jackman on his birthday

Ryan Reynolds couldn’t miss his best friend Hugh Jackman’s 56th birthday. He was one of the first to publicly congratulate the actor on his birthday.

Reynolds posted a large selection of Jackman’s photos on social networks and added an emotional caption to them. “I hope we can do all this until we are 90 years old. Happy birthday, Hugh Jackman. “There are many more years and many more adventures.”

The first line of the congratulations is a direct reference to a joke from Deadpool and Wolverine; Here, Deadpool breaks the fourth wall and pokes fun at Jackman’s repeated portrayals of the clawed mutant character on the big screen.

“Disney will make him do this until he’s 90,” Deadpool says in the film, criticizing the studio’s reliance on nostalgia and its inability to acknowledge any X-Men in a different way.

Jackman and Reynolds first appeared together in X-Men Origins. Wolverine” in 2009. Hugh Jackman later had a voice-over role in Reynolds’ 2021 film Free Guy. This film was directed by Shawn Levy, who directed the blockbusters Deadpool and Wolverine in the same year, the first film adaptation in which the duo showed their full potential.

Jackman also appeared in an episode of Reynolds’ football documentary series Welcome to Wrexham this year. They constantly communicate on social networks and take part in events. Recently, Ryan Reynolds visited his seriously ill young fan in the hospital, and together they called Jackman via video call directly from his hospital room.
