A man who holds the world record for the most square tattoos on his body revealed that he was inspired to build his catalog of extreme body modifications when he realized they could hide his birth defects.

Matt has 848 squares tattooed on his body and speaks on YouTube channel from Guinness World RecordsMatt explained that he first got a tattoo when he used needle and ink when he was only 14.

And while he joked that there wasn’t a sequence of squares large enough to play chess, Matt revealed that they served a greater purpose than just helping to create a distinctive look.

“I like the symmetry of the fleas that hide and mask the asymmetry of my body,” she said, before explaining how she tried to hide some of her birth defects with her ink.

“I have a total of 14 different rare birth defects that they have encountered, they are still finding more.

“Tattoos make me enjoy my body. I’m not tall, I have a strong voice; my loud voice is due to a birth defect in my throat where I have a baby-sized airway.

“And the tattoos made me love my body more and made me love living in my body despite all these mutations and birth defects.”

The body modification fanatic showed viewers his extreme looks, explaining, “I have something called Poland Syndrome where I am missing my left pectoral, a bicep, a kidney.

Pointing to the right side, he noted: “I have a muscle on this side but I don’t have any major pectoral muscles on this side (pointing to the left).

Next, Matt described how he used tattoos to hide his body shape.

“I have the artificial shape of a muscle tattooed here as a fake breast,” she explained, pointing to her left side.

To balance his body, Matt also got a huge creature tattooed on his right side, which made his pectoral muscle less prominent.

“The optical illusion hides the depression in my chest,” he added.

“I’ve had gastrointestinal bloating and bloating all my life, so this spiral and all this shape camouflages it, makes it more comfortable.”
