Brett Haley will direct the adaptation from a script adapted by Kuang Yulin. The main roles will be played by Tom Blythe (“The Hunger Games: A Song of Snakes and Songbirds”) and Emily Bader (“My Lady Jane”). Release date is not yet known.

“We Were Liars” by E. Lockhart
The story takes place on the Sinclair family’s private island off the coast of Massachusetts. The story tells about the life of a seemingly ideal family, full of its own secrets. The Sinclairs’ three daughters and their children spend every summer on Beachwood Island. One summer, when Cadence was 15, an accident occurred and “three other liars” forced her to remember the entire story two years later.
Emily Alyn Lind (Gossip Girl), Subham Maheshwari, Esther McGregor and Joseph Zada will portray the four liars. Release date is not yet known. Produced by Amazon Prime Video.
“Verity’s Secret Diary” by Colin Hoover
With Lowen Ashley on the verge of financial collapse, he accepts an offer to co-author the novel of the famous author Verity Crawford, who is unable to finish the manuscript due to health problems. Verity’s husband Jeremy invites Lowen to work on the book at their family home. While examining paper drafts, Lowen finds Verity’s unpublished autobiography. Every page is a chilling confession. Verity also writes about the night their family’s life changed forever.
Colleen Hoover’s hit thriller “Verity’s Secret Diary” is being turned into a film adaptation at Amazon’s MGM Studios. The movie ‘It Ends with Us’, starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, was the first movie adapted from the author’s books. No cast or director has been announced yet.
“The Fourth Wing” by Rebecca Yarros
The book series, consisting of The Fourth Wing, published in May 2023, and The Iron Flame, published in November 2023, is about twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengale, who left her life as a writer upon her mother’s wish to become a dragon rider. Violet joins the formidable ranks of the Basgiat Military College, which trains equestrian candidates using the “Graduate or Die” method.
Amazon MGM Studios, together with Michael B. Jordan’s production company Outlier Society, has acquired the rights to the book series that will be turned into a television series.
“Harvest Sunrise” by Suzanne Collins
The new novel of Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games series will be released on March 18, 2025, and the film adaptation will be released on November 20, 2026. Harvest Sunrise will be the fifth book in the dystopian series.
The new book will be set 24 years before the original Hunger Games novel and 40 years after the final installment, The Ballad of Snakes and Songbirds. The story will tell about the games in which Haymitch Abernathy participated. There are rumors that The Contenders star Mike Feist could play him.
“Lonely Hearts Farm” by Lila Sage
The first book follows Clementine Ryder, who returns to her hometown of Meadowlark, Wyoming, and Luke Brooks, whom the girl always thought was a womanizer and slob. At Clementine’s father’s ranch, Luke finds himself avoiding horses even though he competes in rodeos professionally. Luke offers to help Clementine and they get to work. Soon Clementine realizes that if you fall, then from a horse, if you fall in love, then from a cowboy.
Universal Television has acquired the film rights to author Lila Sage’s Rebel Blue Ranch book series. Each book follows a different character, but they all focus on small-town romance.
“The Bad Guy’s Helper” by Hannah Nicole Merer
Described as a mix of The Office, Once Upon a Time and Beauty and the Beast, the story follows young Evie Sage, who, in need of money, takes a job as an assistant to the most notorious Villain in the land.
Legendary Television has acquired the rights to the wildly popular fantasy novel The Villain’s Assistant, which will be turned into a TV series.
