ABBA’s Roger Palm, who worked on their hit singles, has died

Today it became known that the drummer of the Swedish band ABBA died on Saturday from the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. The publication Aftonbladet reported this and published archive photos of the artist.

“He was a warm and humble man who always stood by his friends and family. He will be greatly missed and leaves a huge void behind. We will all remember him with warm hearts,” Roger’s family wrote.

Palm worked as a studio musician and was best known as ABBA’s drummer. In the 1970s, he began collaborating with Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, contributing to many of the band’s famous songs, including hits such as Dancing queen, Mamma mia and Thank you for music.

Last year it became known that the guitarist of the legendary band Lasse Velander died. The cause of death was cancer.
