Who will return for season four of Ted Lasso?

Sports drama Ted Lasso is expected to return for a fourth season. According to Warner Bros. Studio Deadline, the contracts of the series’ actors Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent) and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins) have been extended. It is assumed that Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), who plays the lead role, will take over as producer. However, Phil Dunster (Jamie Tartt) has not yet signed a contract. The actor may decline to work on the continuation of the project due to his busy schedule.

Filming for the new episode of the comedy-drama is likely to begin in early 2025. It is not yet known who will write the script for the story. To summarize, Ted Lasso tells the story of a small-time football coach (Jason Sudeikis) who is hired to coach a professional football team.

Discussions about “Ted Lasso” have been ongoing since the third season finale aired last year. In January, Warner Bros. CEO Channing Dungey hinted at the possibility of continuing the series. “You saw the finale of season three, there’s a small door that could be opened again if necessary. If the opportunity arises, we’ll happily return to creating new episodes. There’s ongoing discussions, but there’s no official offer yet,” he said.

So far, representatives from the film studio have not commented, but fans of the multi-part film have suggested that they will not be renewing contracts with the “Ted Lasso” cast.
