The ex-wife of Qatar’s Prince Cassius Gallanio was found dead at his home in Spain. The preliminary cause of death is drug overdose. The media reports that Gallanio has suffered from depression for several years and is struggling with alcohol and drug addiction.
At first glance, the version of death is quite logical – if you do not go into details. And they are truly intimidating. It is scary, like the stories of the ancient princesses of other Muslim countries. It seems that marrying a prince isn’t all that appealing anymore. The more influential and wealthy your friend is, the more problems sometimes arise associated with the threat of life. Especially if you are the wife of a man from a Muslim country.
Life in the “golden cage”
Kasia Gallanio was born and raised in Los Angeles. On her way to Paris, she met Qatar’s former oil minister, Abdulaziz bin Khalifa Al Sani. Their short romance ended with a wedding in 2004. True, the relationship between Kasia and her husband was difficult – many quarrels, threats and even violence. Gallanio lived separately from her influential husband – he bought her a house in Spain.
The woman did not take off the dirty laundry in public, was engaged in business – an online premium gift shop and child-rearing – she had three daughters married to the former Minister of Qatar. However, in the late 2010s Gallanio filed for divorce. She then did not reveal the reason for her behavior, unlike her husband, who describes herself as “an alcoholic with mental problems.”
For the past 10 years, Kasia has devoted herself to a custody battle for their daughter, who has been living with their father in Paris all this time. Later, at the age of 17, the two older girls moved to Spain after their mother. Shortly before her death, Kasia said in an interview with Spanish journalists that her ex-husband did not let her breathe.
“Money is a curse because it insulates you from a lot of people. This is a different world,” Kasiya admitted in an interview. She also stated that her ex-husband hasn’t paid child support for several years, she said.
Gallanio gave an interview in mid-April and was found dead at the end of May. A drug overdose doesn’t seem like a plausible cause. A close friend of hers, who had met her the day before, said that Kasia is not a drug addict and leads a healthy lifestyle. But the main argument is that one of Kasia’s daughters filed a criminal complaint with the police on the eve of her mother’s death, accusing her of sexual harassment against her father. According to her, the Qatari prince forced the girl to sleep with him in bed and fulfill her marital duty.
Currently, Spanish police are investigating the death of Casia Gallanio. And it looks like the case is about to get new details.

Princess Haya bint Al Hussein is the ruler of Dubai and one of the six wives of UAE Prime Minister Mohammed Al Maktoum. She was born in Jordan and educated at Oxford.

She married the ruler of Dubai in 2004. The couple had a daughter in 2007 and a son in 2012. Princess Haya constantly appeared with the sheikh at social events, especially in England. London maintains diplomatic relations with the UAE: More than 100,000 British nationals live in the Emirates.
In 2019, Haya ran away from her husband after learning shocking details about her children from a previous marriage.
The Sheikh kept his daughters captive for many years – they lived in the basement, where they were constantly beaten. One of the girls, Princess Latifa, managed to escape once – she developed this adventure for five years. The escape was successful, thanks to his friend, a Finnish citizen and a former French military intelligence agent. He went with him on a yacht from Oman to India, but they were caught by armed people near Goa. The princess was extradited to Dubai. Six months later, the human rights organization Amnesty International wanted to know the whereabouts of Latifa, but the request went unanswered. In June 2021, the princess was seen at the Madrid airport, apparently the girl was on vacation in Spain. When the photo went viral on the internet, UAE officials said Latifa was in good condition and that she was only “cared for at home”.
However, not much is known about the fate of Shamsa, the Sheikh’s second daughter. In the early 2000s, she attempted to flee from the UAE to the UK, but the girl quickly returned home. Since then, he has not been seen in public for over 20 years.
The ex-wife of the sheikh, Haye, managed to escape from her husband’s patronage. As a result of the trial held in 2021, more than $330 million was paid to the woman, this money will be used to ensure the safety of the woman and her children. Haya also sued the sheikh for custody of the children. But in addition to this, according to some reports, there are 23 more children from different spouses.

Here is a story with a happy ending. Miss Moscow – 2015 Oksana Voevodina met Malaysian King Mohammed V in 2017. At first it seemed that this was crazy love. For the sake of his bride, Mohammed refused the royal title, and Oksana converted to Islam. In 2018, they celebrated their wedding: the celebration took place in Barvikha, near Moscow, with halal food and no alcohol.
True, they did not even live together for a year. Oksana and Mohammed broke up when the girl was pregnant. The cause is unknown for a long time. But a few years ago, relatives of Vojvodina talked about her relationship with her ex-husband. According to them, after the marriage, Mohammed offered the girl to live separately and a reasonable amount for consent. Also, her husband cheated on her.
After the divorce, Oksana returned to Moscow and immediately began to receive threats from her ex-husband.
“It all started before my son was born when my ex-husband’s personal assistant secretly tried to get our address from my girlfriend. Of course, I immediately realized that. And on the day Leon was born, instead of flowers and congratulations, I got a bunch of documents saying my ex-husband wouldn’t pay child support if someone found out about my son’s birth. Of course, I did not sign any documents,” he said.
Now Oksana has left Moscow. She lives in London and does not communicate with her ex-husband, who, according to media reports, has avoided paying child support for her son.
Vojvodina is active on social networks – and judging by the pictures, her life is gradually getting better.
