Books that changed the lives of celebrities

For many of us, the opinions of celebrities are authoritative, if not decisive. We buy clothes and cosmetics, go to restaurants and exhibitions, diet and travel based on their advice. So why can’t we inherit their taste in literature? We’ve put together five of the celebrities’ favorite books for you.

Kate Moss – The Beautiful and the Damned, Francis Scott Fitzgerald

An intimate look at America’s “lost generation” of twentysomethings. The novel tells the story of the hedonistic lifestyle of wealthy heirs during the Jazz Age. They eat at the finest restaurants, rent prestigious homes, and bravely spend their youth in the dim light of New York City’s nightlife. But a life without purpose brings them no happiness.

Natalie Portman – Cloud Atlas, David Mitchell

What could a mid-19th-century notary, a young European composer in the early 20th century, a California journalist in the 1970s, a contemporary small-time publisher, a clown maid in a future Korea, and a Hawaiian goatherd at the end of civilization possibly do? Spoiler: They are united by a comet-shaped birthmark and a desperate thirst for life.

Zoe Saldana – The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho

The author writes, “When you really want something, the whole Universe will help you make your wish come true” and we already want to read this novel. According to him, the book is symbolic but ideal for those who have lost the meaning of life.

Reese Witherspoon – “Savage” A dangerous journey to find yourself, Cheryl Strayed

Psychological pain can sometimes be felt more intensely than physical pain. The main character knows this firsthand. After losing her mother, ruining her marriage, and getting involved with a stalker, a young girl embarks on a 1,770 km journey on foot. The heartfelt story of a woman overcoming her fears will inspire you to look at life differently.

Angelina Jolie – Dracula, Bram Stoker

The novel is a diary of a London lawyer captured by Dracula. The main character goes to Transylvania to the castle of a certain count to sell real estate, but events develop in the most unfavorable way.
