In Germany they released the “eternal” USB drive Blaustahl. Developers claim that data can be stored for 200 years. The flash drive holds 8 KB, or approximately 8 thousand characters of text. Machdyne company announced its new product on its official website.
A flash drive is suitable for storing passwords, private keys, notes and lists of cryptocurrency. Its cost is about 3 thousand rubles.
However, there is a condition that the data on the device must be stored for two centuries. The drive can operate for this long if the ambient temperature does not exceed +35 °C. At temperatures up to +55 °C, the lifespan is reduced to 95 years.
The interface does not require additional drivers for most operating systems. Its creators promise that data can still be restored if it becomes outdated or the system fails.
