She continued to write on Instagram: ‘For so many reasons, Mother’s Day is a roller coaster for many, including our family.
“So without thinking twice, I am incredibly grateful that @royalmarsden offered me a stream this weekend because Hugo was performing in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and I was able to spend the day with my whole family (apart from Eloise surfing!).
“I may have gone even further when I scrambled the dining rooms at Harrods (thanks to the jewels it contains!). I clearly need to use retail therapy to rebuild my strength!
“All thanks to my lovely nurses on duty to make sure I reach these things safely and navigate the sewers under my clothes!
“The only problem is, no matter how well looked after here, I didn’t want to go back! This week is about a few procedures like continuing my treatment, finishing my IV cycle for sepsis, fixing my varicose veins and separating my drains, and hopefully it’s not too different!

“Most of everything: watching my life slip away, being brought back to life, hairy moments, surgery, general anesthesia, antibiotics, pain relief, nervous blood testing, failed cannulas, crooked balls, tears.
“It was the scariest time of my life, the lives of my entire family.”
Earlier this month, the cancer activist shared on Instagram that she had made a hospital bed, writing: “So I came back with a hospital stay. I have no idea what a good weekend, but you have to!”
He continued: ‘Long story short! The infection we tried to keep away with intravenous antibiotics – it didn’t work!
“And on Tuesday I became septic with a 40 degree fever and I am really sick. But @royalmarsden’s team was great and I was accepted on Tuesday.’
In the second photo, the mother of two shared a photo of the door affixed to her chest, saying, “Since then, we’ve discovered that I have some sources of infection. So yesterday I took my door out. It was robbed!
“For five years this baby has served me well – but now I need it to stop an infection – I’m really sorry! Might get another one soon.
“We also found that my main source of infection was my liver, which we knew was causing the abscess thanks to IV antibiotics, so it was drained for a few days to help it heal faster!
“But my infection cleared up almost instantly.”
He explained: “So now I’m taking a course of intravenous antibiotics – and now I can almost text! I was too delusional about the infection to keep my eyes open!’
“The good news is that this is solvable and my cancer is stable with the new regimen. So you just have to organize this! It’s so scary until the sepsis infections are controlled! “I’m finally not peaking now and the blood is showing that everything is getting better.”
