It wasn’t exactly “Denim and Rhinestones” though Carrie Underwood at the 57th Annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville on Nov. 8. The CMA nominee ended up skipping the annual event despite being named Entertainer of the Year.
Fans were eager to see what Carrie would wear on the red carpet, as she is known for her unique and exceptional sense of style. In a 2012 interview, you gave credit to the actresses. Charlize Theron AND Reese spoon to be their style icons. “They’re beautiful, but in a natural way,” he told NFocus magazine at the time, emphasizing that it’s not just a question of what you wear, but how you behave. “They seem to take care of themselves, but they don’t do anything too crazy,” he continued. “They always look and act elegant.”
As for her physical appearance, she revealed that she is careful to practice a healthy lifestyle and posture is key. “I try my best to eat healthy and exercise,” she explained. “I’m vegan, so that definitely helps. It’s hard to be vegan and not lose too much weight. As for posture, I could definitely work on that. “It’s easy to stand when I know the camera is on me, but I look at my photos when I’m caught off guard and realize how depressed I am.”
And makeup, as she once revealed, is a huge confidence boost for her. “Makeup gives me confidence,” she told PeopleStyle in 2020. “When I want to look beautiful, I like smoky eyes and eyeliner. I feel like it’s nice to have things that enhance the things you like and hide the things you don’t. I like to walk in front of the mirror and say, “Okay!” I feel like I’m armed. Everything OK!'”
It’s currently unclear why Carrie was absent from this year’s CMAs. However, she previously told ABC what an “honor” it was for her to be nominated.
“Yeah, I mean, it’s obviously a huge honor to be nominated for Entertainer of the Year,” Carrie said. “Obviously, this is a very difficult category to fall into, because there are so many – and we don’t want to make this competition – there are so many artists who are fighting for what they are simply dedicating themselves to, and their time and their energy, their love and their art are not there.” What are they doing?
