A woman told how she adopted a pigeon that jumped into her lap at the bar.

NHS collaborator Hannah Hall, 28, from Nottingham, took the bird under her wing after she walked into the bar confused and then fell asleep on her lap.

She posts about her extraordinary new pet, Tic toc, for which she has amassed over 200,000 followers.

The pigeon named Penny now sleeps in a cage in her garden and spends the day sitting on Hannah’s shoulder while she relaxes in the garden or does housework.

Hannah shared her story on TikTok and told her friends over the holiday weekend how she was at the bar when the pigeon approached.

“I didn’t realize it at first,” Nottingham said live. “I told my girlfriend she could switch places with me, so we switched places.

It suddenly fell on my knee and had been lying there for about three and a half hours. Eventually it almost got into my coat.

At the end of the night, the pigeon had fallen asleep on Hannah, so she decided to take her home.

She gave him a bed in an unused pet carrier in the garden shed, but was afraid the bird was so weak that he couldn’t spend the night.

But Penny has grown stronger and more confident than Hannah’s company.

He later learned that the bird had been mistreated by revelers at another bar before he got inside.

Experts said that pigeons are pets that cling to people for help when they fear they are in danger.
