The Countess of Wessex was named Grand Cross Lady of the Order of St John by the Queen.
Sophie, 57, has been involved with The Order of St John since 2004 and even celebrated her birthday earlier this year as a volunteer at an NHS immunization center in Surrey as part of her work with St John Ambulance.
He has been highly praised for his role as the Great President of St John Ambulance and a philanthropic volunteer.
The Queen further recognized his work by giving him a new prestigious title.

St John Ambulance took to Twitter to congratulate Sophie on her appointment as Lady of the Grand Cross of the Order of St John.
Meanwhile, a notice published in the Official Gazette added: “The QUEEN is pleased to approve the following promotions and mergers at the Venerable Order of St. John’s Hospital in Jerusalem from 14 April 2022, at the time of writing”.
Ruled by the Queen, St. John’s Order, St. John Ambulance is a historic Christian charity. The Duke of Gloucester is the High Priestess of the Order.
There are five Orders of St John’s around the world that run a multitude of programs, from ambulances to youth programs to helping the elderly, the disabled, children and the homeless.

Having held the Order of St John since 2004, Sophie was awarded the First Bar Service Medal last year.
They also provide first aid training and provide disaster relief and humanitarian aid worldwide.
The British Order of St John is a Royal Knight.
Reaffirmed by Queen Victoria in England in the mid-19th century, the Order dates back 900 years to the Knights Hospitaller in Jerusalem, which cared for the sick.
The new title of Countess of Wessex comes several months after she donned the robes of a lady of the Order of St John in an official portrait to coincide with the awards ceremony. The first bar for the service medal, 15 years with the Order.
