The Duchess of Cornwall showed off her diplomatic dressing skills today as she donned the red of the Canadian flag ahead of her upcoming royal tour.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall applauded the children as they arrived for a visit to Canada House in London ahead of their official visit to the country next week.

Keeping the classic look, she paired the dress with low-heeled black heels and brought an ultra-chic Chanel bag.

Meanwhile, Charles, 73, wore a gray pinstripe suit with a blue shirt and tie and had a small flower on his collar.

The schoolchildren greeted the couple by waving the flag when they met the royal family, including a young man dressed in a maple leaf print dress for the ceremony.

Royal aides announced that Prince Charles and Camilla will visit Canada this month as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, where they will recognize the treatment of indigenous people.

The trip, which will be Canada’s nineteenth heir, will see the couple travel more than 2,000 miles from Newfoundland and Labrador to the Northwest Territories over three days from May 17-19.

Clarence House says Charles “has long believed we should learn from indigenous peoples around the world how to live better and take care of nature and the planet” and that this tour will “emphasize learning from indigenous peoples in Canada” and “more sustainable with a global warming a way of life’.

A few hours after landing in Canada in May, the couple will attend a “ceremonial moment of reflection and prayer” in a garden dedicated to the indigenous victims of the boarding school system, where thousands have died or been abused.

Charles and Camilla will also recognize the Commonwealth country’s response to the conflict in Ukraine following the Russian invasion, and will meet with members of the largest Canadian-Ukrainian community outside of Europe.

The couple will highlight causes they have supported in recent years, such as support for domestic violence survivors and the issue of climate change, and acknowledge the role of the Canadian military.
