John David, 32, married later than most of his siblings – and while he’s alone with Abbie and their second child, they probably have a much smaller brood than his parents’ 19 children.

Abbie may be prone to fewer and more gradual pregnancies after a rough time putting on for the first time.

The first trimester was particularly difficult for Abbie, who suffered from severe morning sickness.

“It hit him hard and he probably slept through seven weeks with severe morning sickness,” John David later told The Weekly. “I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum and was hospitalized several times.”

Hyperemesis gravidarum is a complication in which pregnant women experience severe nausea and vomiting, often leading to dehydration.

Celebrities such as the Duchess of Cambridge, Kelly Clarkson, and Amy Schumer have also experienced it.
