A paralyzed Australian athlete has become the first person in the country to bungee jump 50 meters from the roof in a wheelchair.
Rohan Sills set a national record at Cairns Sky Park by adventure sports company AJ Hackett when he placed a pitched roof over Australia’s only bungee tower.
Videos of Rohan’s fingernail-biting dive were posted on Instagram showing the brave athlete rolling down the slope, falling onto the ledge, and crashing meters into the park below.

Videos of Rohan’s hair-raising dive were posted on Instagram showing the daring athlete rolling down the slope and crashing into the park meters below.
In a clip, the trainer can be heard saying “Okay, he’s back, friend number two – a little bit of a gap this time on the roof” before wishing him good luck and counting down to jump.
No stranger to extreme sports, Rohan took his first jump in the park last year, but wanted to take it higher and staged the massive rooftop jump at an Australian premiere.
The brave daredevil described this terrifying jump as “epic” in a video he shared on Instagram.
The clip received tens of thousands of views and hundreds of comments, impressed by Rohan’s daring performance.

The former carpenter was told he would never walk again after a work accident in 2019 when he fell three meters into a stairwell on a construction site.

Rohan explained to a fan on his social media account that he could not take this step without a wheelchair due to the risk of stretching the metal pins on his back.
One fan says, “Dude, you’re the real hero because you follow your dreams,” while another fan says, “This is superrrrr inspiring! What a beautiful ghost!’
