Renault is the first car brand to integrate the Waze application directly into the multimedia system of its vehicles. Waze integration in the openR link multimedia system with integrated Google offers drivers more comfort and safety. Without the need to use a mobile phone, the driver can access traffic information in real time, as the application warns of any type of incident – for example, deductions or objects or vehicles on the road -. Other functions, such as playing music, remain accessible even with Waze activated.
This new Waze experience is available in European countries for all new Austral and new Megane E-Tech 100% Electric customers equipped with the openR display and openR link multimedia system with integrated Google.
Customers can easily download and install the Waze openR link app, either directly from Google Play via their vehicle’s multimedia system, or from their MY Renault mobile app. Customers can then create a Waze account or use an existing account to drive safely, always free.
