Ukrainian presenter and blogger Lesia Nikitiuk faced harsh online criticism after riding a quad bike during a mountain vacation with her one-year-old son Oskar. Nikitiuk took the break following two months of continuous filming in Kyiv.
Nikitiuk shared video updates on Instagram stories showing her riding the quad bike in the mountains while her son explored his first hills after walking independently for several months. She stated that she went from fear and wanting to stop to complete delight during the ride.
Response to Backlash
Followers reacted negatively to the activity, with one user stating that quad bikes cause incredible harm to the mountains and asking her not to ride anymore. Nikitiuk responded that she is not afraid of online hate and is ready to admit mistakes, but maintained she did nothing wrong because she drove on a road used by residents of high-mountain villages.
News agency UNIAN previously reported that Nikitiuk shared her primary method for restoring energy during filming breaks. She said looking at photos of her son, talking with colleagues, and sharing funny stories gives her energy.
