Echoes of Cat Deeley's viral clip

Hamilton's post bore a striking resemblance to one shared by Cat Deeley, the This Morning presenter, who wore a bikini to mow her own lawn last week.

Fans were quick to comment, with one writing: "What fun, you make me laugh.." and another simply calling the display "Stunning".

Hamilton, who presents A Place in the Sun, has previously credited her physique to daily movement combined with varying strength training, yoga and reformer Pilates.

Heartache after witnessing a teenager's death

The lighthearted gardening video came just a week after Hamilton shared a far more sombre video describing her heartache at witnessing a teenager die after getting into trouble in the sea.

Hamilton had shared the clip about the dangers of swimming after coming across the aftermath during a trip to the beach following filming for her show.

Retelling the ordeal, she said: "I got about three hours sleep last night, and I think it's because of what I saw on the beach yesterday afternoon. My mind was just racing and I was kind of re-picturing the things that I saw."

She described the scene she found on arrival: "When I arrived there was quite a lot of commotion, didn't really know what was going on. It turns out that there was a fatality and it was kind of a crazy thing to see."

Hamilton said she had initially misjudged the age of the person involved. "I thought the individual was older than they were, it actually turns out they were a 19-year-old boy, they tried to resuscitate him, but they couldn't and sadly, he passed away," she said.

She added: "I can't begin to imagine what that poor boy's family are thinking and feeling this morning."

A warning to other families

Hamilton, who is a mother of two, said she wanted to use the experience to warn others about the dangers that can arise while swimming.

"If you're letting your children go into the sea, even as a grown up going into the sea, just be careful," she said. "But it was a kind of crazy thing to sort of see and witness and it just reminds us all that life is short."

She continued: "We don't know what's around the corner, so make sure you appreciate the people in your life because nobody knows what tomorrow holds."
