A woman who authorized her Russian soldier husband to rape Ukrainian women during Vladimir Putin’s invasion has been placed on an international wanted list.
The woman, believed to be Olga Bykovskaya, was placed on state, interstate and international wanted lists by the Ukrainian authorities.
She was investigated by law enforcement after it was revealed she was the woman who ordered her husband to rape occupied Ukrainians – as long as he didn’t tell her and sought protection.
The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) completed the preliminary investigation.
Investigators then discovered that the two phone numbers were linked to two accounts on the Russian social network VKontakte – owned by 27-year-old Roman Bykovsky and his wife Olga Bykovskaya – both from Orel in Russia.

Their actions were found to violate article 27.2 of the Convention for the Protection of Civilians in Time of War and the Geneva Conventions.
She faces up to 12 years in prison and preventive measures in the form of detention have been chosen to be used after her arrest.
In April, Kiev security forces released an audio clip of a conversation between a couple identified by Radio Liberty as Roman Bykovsky and his wife Olga Bykovskaya.
In the recording, the woman – reportedly Bykovskaya – can be heard telling the man that he has her permission to rape Ukrainian women while serving in Russia’s invasion forces as long as he doesn’t tell her and uses contraception.
The shocking 30-second clip was released on April 12 as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russian troops of committing “hundreds of rapes”, including attacks on young children in his country.
The audio clip shared by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) began with the blue and yellow caption: “Security Service INTERCEPTED: Wives of Russian invaders allow their husbands to rape Ukrainian women.”
Then a woman’s voice can be heard, presumably Olga Bykovskaya: “Well, do it there,” she says. Then it becomes clear what she is getting herself into.
Ukrainian women there. raped her Yes. Don’t tell me, you know,” she added with a shy chuckle.
Then a man’s voice can be heard – probably Roman Bykovsky’s. “Uh-huh,” he said.
“So I have to rape and not tell you anything,” he asks, making it clear that the woman is giving him permission.
“Yeah, so I don’t know anything,” said the female voice, before you could hear both of them laughing this time. “Why do you want to know that?” She adds.

“Can I really?” he asked again.
“Yes, I’ll let you,” she said with a giggle. ‘
Just use protection,” she adds.
The man replied, “Okay.”
Investigative reporters from Radio Liberty worked with law enforcement in Ukraine to track down the phone involved in the call, with one of the numbers traced back to the Kherson region in April.
Investigators then discovered that the two phone numbers were linked to two accounts on the Russian social network VKontakte – owned by 27-year-old Roman Bykovsky and his wife Olga Bykovskaya – both from Orel in Russia.
Roman’s account was closed to the public, but journalists found him on photos uploaded by one of his friends – Alexei Zabrusov – showing that they served together in the same army department in 2016.
From there, investigators were able to track down Roman’s other friends and family members, which led them to more photos of him in military uniform, revealing that he is now part of Russia’s 108th Guards Airborne Assault Regiment – a unit known for his involvement in the annexation of Crimea in 2014.
They also learned that the couple moved to the Russian-occupied Crimean peninsula around 2018.
Meanwhile, Olga’s social media account was open (until it was deleted on April 13). On her account, she was shown in photos with the man identified as Roman Bykovsky. It was also revealed that the couple have a 4-year-old child together.
Radio Liberty tried to call the couple through the discovered numbers.
Roman reportedly replied, denying that he was still in the Kherson region and, upon learning that he had been approached by reporters, also denied that he was the man in the audio recording. However, Radio Liberty said his vote was a match.
Olga Bykovska also responded and confirmed to Radio Liberty that her husband is being treated for an injury in Sevastopol.
After revealing this, she quickly ended the call. Soon after, her social media account was deleted.
The 30-second audio clip of the conversation was published on the Telegram channel of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in April.
“Wives of Russian aggressors encourage their husbands to rape Ukrainian women,” the agency wrote along with the clip on Telegram.
“This shocking interception by the SBU reflects not only the moral values of the occupiers, but also of their loved ones, 80 percent of whom now support the war in Ukraine,” the agency claimed in its description of the survey.
Putin’s gang of thugs has been linked to a series of horrific atrocities across Ukraine, including the brutal rape and murder of women and children, often in front of their own family members.
Moscow denies the allegations.
Earlier this month, a torture chamber was found in the liberated city of Kherson, the Ukrainian parliament’s human rights commissioner claimed.
“We saw the bottom in Kherson. In one of the torture chambers we discovered a separate cell where children were kept. The occupiers called it a “children’s cell” themselves, said Dmytro Lubinets.
The dark discovery came as an international team of legal advisers visited Kherson to gather evidence about alleged sex crimes committed by Russian forces as part of a massive investigation.
