A street food blogger named “Fatty Goes To Africa” has been stabbed to death during a live stream from a market in Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu.
The 20-year-old Chinese victim, dubbed Gan in local media, was allegedly attacked by a rival blogger in the city on December 4.
Gan was streaming live from the busy grocery store and talking to his friends when he was stabbed in broad daylight.
The suspect, Feng Zhengyung in local media, a 37-year-old Chinese, is also an Internet celebrity called “Ayun” who lives in Nepal and is said to have harbored a grudge against his rival food blogger.
A shocking video shows Gan talking to the camera as he walks down a street when he is attacked from behind.

Gan appears to drop his phone during the attack as the screen goes black, but his piercing screams can still be heard.
Gan has used his social media platform to introduce foreign countries’ food and culture to his followers, and has nearly five million fans in China.
He attracted many people to watch by sharing his daily life in Africa.
But the popular blogger will probably be remembered for live-streaming the attack that led to his tragic death.
Gan was stabbed in the chest and stomach in the middle of the road and died later that night after rescue efforts failed.

Just as the group of people were walking, talking and laughing, a scream could be heard on camera, followed by Gan who was stabbed and seriously injured.
The violent shaking and loud shouting interrupted the broadcast and the screen suddenly went black.
Another third-person video shows Gan sitting on the ground, covered in blood, while another person – believed to be Feng – curses him in Chinese.
Gan can be seen lying half on the floor, holding his stomach to observe the abdominal injury and pointing at a phone, presumably a signal for viewers to call emergency services.
He was later taken to hospital but was pronounced dead.
Feng also reportedly stabbed one of Goose’s friends, who suffered multiple injuries and was also taken to hospital for treatment.
The suspect has apparently been taken into police custody.
According to preliminary reports, Feng harbored a grudge against Gan after several disputes and unresolved debts.
The investigations are currently ongoing.
