Eight out of ten singles say the removal of Roe v. Wade in June 2022 impacted their sex life. This is the conclusion of the investigation Singles in America made by dating site Match among 5,000 singles aged 18-98.
The results are exciting: for example, two out of three women say they cannot get a date with someone who holds opposing views on the abortion issue. This requirement is also a consequence of the confinement, says Dr. Dr Helen Fisher, who believes single people have it “has changed priorities and wants to date smart” :
“It’s healthy to flirt. They’re looking for a partner who prioritizes mental health and attention to their well-being; they want someone emotionally mature and socially responsible; they place less importance on being beautiful; and they’re expanding their cruising area. Singles they go on dates and are dedicated to finding a partner who is ready for a long-term commitment.
But the social issues of the moment – from the Roe v Wade decision to runaway inflation – have a huge impact on the way we love and meet today. »
The very concrete consequences of the repeal of Roe v. Wade on single sex life
The survey proves it 78% of people of childbearing age say threats to abortion rights have changed their sex lives. The fear of an unwanted pregnancy, but above all of not having the possibility of having an abortion when a child is not desired, is a serious concern, which concerns women, but also men.
Also in relation to the revocation of Roe c. to wade, 20% of respondents say they are more reluctant to have sex and 14% to have a Date with someone. Ultimately, this event has an incentive effect on condom use, but also causes greater concern about pregnancy. The removal of Roe v.
