National Internet Content Award: Call for applications and new nominations announced

New details have emerged of the ceremony to award Russia’s main industrial award to socially significant Internet content creators, established by the Internet Development Institute (IRI). It will take place in the spring of 2023.

The collection of applications is open and will run until December 30, 2022, and candidates will be nominated by leaders of the media industry: producers, heads of online platforms, TV channels and major studios, representatives of creative agencies and other industry professionals. Finalists will be determined by the Expert Council, and winners by a professional Jury.

A total of 36 nominations will be nominated, where socially oriented projects in various formats (series, multimedia projects, blogs, podcasts, short videos, music tracks and others) will be noted. In addition to the traditional nominations (“Best Series”, “Best Feature Film”, “Best Blog”, “Debut Film of the Year”, “International Achievement” and others), this time there will be new ones – “Best Project Vertical” Format”, “Best Telegram Channel, Best Viral Content, Best Animation Project, Best Music Track and Clip and Best Online Media Special Project” awards.

“Projects with a kind and creative meaning are often lost against the background of aggressive or simply entertaining content that is made bright and appealing to the audience. Our task is to select and encourage writers who can combine a creative message with the quality of the script, painting, packaging, so that viewers find this content interesting and easy to watch and interact with, and want to change themselves after watching it. and the world is for the better. “The award is professional and implies the presence of strong projects even on the long list – so we have identified an input filter in the form of industry leaders who recommend candidates based on their professional appearance and experience.” LARGE.
