More documentaries are coming out lately. From candid pictures of the life of the stars to the usual reviews of flora and fauna in Africa, with voiceovers. When you look at it, you realize that there is something missing in all these movies – the soul. Everything seems so trite and boring that the hand reaches out and moves on to your favorite TV show. But “Kostya on Wheels” was a welcome exception.

The project gets your full attention from its description: documentaries with elements of gonzo journalism (What? – Yes!). Finally, we will be able to see not only static views of nature, but also the hero himself, we will be able to empathize with him, hear his thoughts and experiences not in memories, but in the moment. Speaking of the hero. Kostya Rayonok is a traveler, filmmaker, who cycles between places, showing the natural beauties of Crimea and meeting local residents: from athletes and sailors to the most ordinary people.

It will show what kind of a peninsula it is now and what it can become, through the eyes of those who were born and come here. Throughout the entire film, Kostya traveled all over the Crimea, from Sevastopol to Kerch, but he is no stranger to this. Behind it is a bike ride across Europe from Berlin to Marseille, and that’s 2,000 km for one second. Together with Kostya, we will visit various regions of Crimea and explore all the activities in the region: we will learn how to make wine, catch the wave while surfing and even open our own restaurant. Sounds exciting!
Issues can be viewed on Kinopoisk or More.TV. Open it up and see, of course we’re already running for popcorn!
