Florence + The Machine have postponed their upcoming UK tour dates due to lead singer Florence Welch’s broken foot.
Well, the bad news broke on her social media.
“I’m sorry to say that last night after an X-ray I was dancing on a broken foot. It’s not in my nature to postpone a show, let alone a UK tour, but I’m in pain and as dancers know it’s not a good idea to dance on an injury. and [I] was told not to act to avoid further damage.”
“Please keep your tickets,” Welch added. “We are working very hard to reschedule these dates for next year and we will let you know as soon as we can. I’m sad because the ‘Dance Fever’ tour is my favorite show we’ve ever done. The community with you. Your pretty faces are beaming. I love you very much and I’m sorry for anyone who is disappointed. My heart hurts. I can’t wait to get back on my feet and be in your arms again.”
Florence + the Machine have seven more UK dates scheduled until the end of November.
