EXCLUSIVE: To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Thruline Entertainment has announced two major promotions. Sam Sazant has been promoted to Los Angeles manager focusing on talent, and Rebecca Mazouz has been named literary coordinator for the executive production company.
Since joining the company in early 2021, Mazouz has worked under executives Jeff Ciabattari and Danny Sherman. A native of Los Angeles, Mazouz is fluent in Spanish and has worked with Thruline clients and international production companies to adapt foreign language content for the US market. She started her career as an assistant on EPs in the second season of The L Word: Generation Q for Showtime and has worked at Untitled Entertainment and the Clique Media Group.
Sazant’s promotion officially took place during the pandemic. Sazant joined Thruline in 2018, working at the desks of founder JB Roberts and manager Christina Diamantas. Since then, she has built a diverse roster of talent across film, television, theater and voiceover. Prior to joining Thruline, she was an assistant at Oscars Abrams Zimel and Associates and senior logistics coordinator for Just for Laughs after spending two summers at The Telsey office in New York.
“Sam and Rebecca embody so many things we value at Thruline,” the Thruline partners said in a joint statement. “They are dedicated and passionate about our customers and they are fantastic examples of how to make the most of the challenges that life – and this business – inevitably brings.”
Thruline’s 18 talent and literature managers oversee a client list that includes Allison Janney, Eric Stonestreet, Michael Cera, Ron Livingston, John Hawkes, Blair Underwood and Tenoch Huerta, as well as writers such as Annie Mumolo, Kirk Ellis, Steve Franks, Christopher Moynihan and Barry Julien, Tony McNamara, George Pelecanos and John Rogers.
Thruline’s television production credits include The big one, starring Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult, which is currently in production for a third season; upcoming AMC crime drama Community, with Giancarlo Esposito; and the longstanding procedural drama in the United States psyche. Feature credits include: the upcoming Where all the light tends to goNetflix horror movie maliciously, the Hulu documentaries batman and beak and obedient giant; and Emmy nominated believers.
