Twitter employees are comparing the company’s new president, Elon Musk, to Voldemort, the villain of the Harry Potter books. The Daily Mail writes that this is all due to their fear of mentioning his name during layoffs.

According to the publication, fears are related to Musk firing employees who criticized him on the corporate Slack messenger (thus losing at least ten jobs). Employees now worry that his not-so-pleasant remarks about the entrepreneur will be seen by colleagues the new leader brings in from Tesla.
“He’s like Voldemort, or someone whose name shouldn’t be mentioned. Everyone calls him “the guy above” or “the new owner,” so if people check the words “Elon” and “Mask” in chats, nothing falls out,” said one of the company employees.
Recall that recently Elon Musk spoke online as part of a conference held at the G20 summit in Bali. “Maybe we’ll find aliens there that are already millions of years old,” the entrepreneur said.
