D’Sean Perry: Everything you need to know about the UVA footballer who was killed in a shooting



D’Sean Perry was shot dead in the University of Virginia shooting on Sunday, November 13. Police announced that D’Sean was one of three victims, along with Devin Chandler Y lavel davis at a press conference for NBC 29. Two other people were injured. Police also arrested the suspect. Christopher Darnell-Jones and accused him of murder. Suspect was also on the UVA team roster his freshman year in 2018.

After the shooting, police ordered the campus to set up a shelter to try and find the suspect. After the arrest of him, the police announced that they had taken him away, in a crybaby🇧🇷 “The police have the suspect in custody. This is the final warning,” the message reads. 1. D’Sean was a linebacker for UVA

D’Sean made nine starts for the UVA Cavaliers during his time at the school. He was a young man. Although he didn’t play in any games his freshman year in 2019, he played twice during the 2020 season. During the 2021 season, D’Sean played in 7 games and made one tackle during a game against Duke, according to the biography of him on GRAPE website.

2. D’Sean was originally from Miami.

Before moving to Virginia, D’Sean was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Most notably, he played linebacker and tight end for his high school’s varsity team at Gulliver Prep. He collected 199 tackles during his high school career. In addition to football, he was also a member of the varsity basketball team.

3. He was named high school defensive back of the year

Due to his excellent football skills, D’Sean received high praise during his time at Gulliver Prep. During his senior year, he had 89 tackles, including 3 sacks. His high school team finished with an 8-4 record and made the playoffs, before losing in the semifinals. He was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2018.

4. D’Sean’s father mourned his death in a tweet.

After D’Sean’s death, his father allegedly took to Twitter and released a statement about his son, which has since been deleted, according to WSLS extension. “I have always told my son that I love you and I continue to work. I think you let me know something tonight. I knew something was wrong. Love you man,” he wrote.

the dean of the university jim ryan he also lamented the loss of the three murdered students in a statement that tweeted out, before the suspect was apprehended. “I am heartbroken to report that the shooting left three dead,” she wrote. “Today I hold the victims, their families and all members of the University of Virginia community in my heart, and we will make plans to come together as a community once the suspect is apprehended.”

5. The other two victims of the shooting were also UVA players

Like D’Sean, the other two victims were also players on the UVA football team. Devin was a wide receiver, originally from Huntersville, North Carolina. Lavel was also a wide receiver for Dorchester, South Carolina. After the shooting, the UVA men’s basketball team announced it would cancel Monday night’s game in a crybaby🇧🇷
