Ryan Revis was sentenced today to 131 months in prison for his role in providing pills containing fentanyl, which led to rapper McMiller’s fatal overdose four years ago.
According to US prosecutors, Revis, 39, pleaded guilty last year in a federal case involving the distribution of fentanyl.
Two others also reported. Stephen Walter, 49, of Westwood, has pleaded guilty to the distribution charges and is awaiting sentencing. A lawsuit is pending against Cameron Petit, 30, of West Hollywood.
On September 4, 2018, according to Walter, Revis provided the third defendant with counterfeit oxycodone pills, according to documents filed in the Los Angeles Federal Court.
Revis admitted knowing that the pills contained fentanyl or another controlled substance. After Revis distributed pills containing fentanyl, Petit allegedly gave the pills to Malcolm McCormick, who recorded and played with McMiller, two days before the 26-year-old rapper had a fatal overdose in the studio in September. 7 of the 2018 federal prosecutors said.
