Chief Executive Officer and Warner Bros. Discovery” David Zaslav said the company wants to produce sequels to “Harry Potter” with the support of writer JK Rowling.

She made the announcement during a meeting with investors, despite public backlash over Rowling’s controversial tweets about transgender people, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
During the meeting, David said, “We haven’t seen a Superman movie in 13 years. We haven’t made Harry Potter in 15 years. The DC movies and the Harry Potter movies have been a huge win for Warner Bros. for the past 25 years.”
He said about the sequel to the Harry Potter movie franchise: “If we can do something with JK in the future…”
Earlier, British actor Ralph Fiennes, best known for his role as Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter film series, sided with JK Rowling, author of books about the boy who survived.
