I don’t know. It is October, the leaves are all on the ground and half moldy, it freezes, there is wind, it rains every ten minutes: yes the kittens, It’s autumn.
But who says that autumn also says the perfect opportunity to fill our stomachs before the Christmas holidays that will end up killing our guts! Even if it means gorging, what if we did it in style?
Well, we’ve selected some perfect and most importantly easy recipes for your kids to make during the school holidays (or all seasons, huh, but hey, it won’t be too on topic, and the themes are great).
I promise you, these recipes don’t take a thousand years, they’re quick and easy, because nobody here has time to spend a whole Wednesday afternoon in the kitchen. with children over 3 years of age.
The recipe of hot dog mummies for Halloween
The most complicated part of this recipe is going to the supermarket to buy sausages (vegetables and not), ketchup and shortcrust pastry.
Because once you have these three ingredients, all you need to do is:
- Cut the sausages in half
- Cut out strips of about 10 cm in the dough you have rolled out
- Wrap the strips around the sausage pieces to make it look like a mummy
Place everything on a plate with parchment paper, and sauté in the oven for 10 minutes at 180 ° C. Once cooked, you can put on a little show with a little ketchup here and there to make it look like blood. Oh yes and to make the eyes of mummies you can put peppercorns or raisins, it will be fine!
The recipe for eye soup for Halloween
Almost as simple as hot dog mummies: soup with eyes that float inside. Yes, I know, yum. But maybe if you have trouble getting your kids to swallow soupthis recipe will help a little, you never know, children are still really weird.
To prepare this delicious soup you can use all the vegetables that are stored in the basket of your refrigerator, without preferences. Personally, I have a real passion for pumpkin, carrot, potato and cream cheese soup, so these are the ingredients I will be using for this recipe.
- Peel and cut the chosen vegetables and presto, 30 minutes in a pot of hot water
- Once cooked, add the fresh cheese (or not, everyone has their own taste), and mix everything well
- Open a box of olives stuffed with whatever you want (small pref for peppers)
- Cut the olives in half
Serve the soup in a bowl or deep plate and add some chopped olives, which will float to the surface in a very disgusting way. Well yes, it’s Halloween eh.
Very rare hot dog recipes for Halloween
Again (see I’m not lying to you), this recipe is super, super simple, but it does its little effect. You just need sandwiches and hot dog sausages (vegetables and otherwise).
- Toast the sandwiches a little in the oven or in the toaster if you like them crunchy
- Chop a sausage, cut a thin strip on top to resemble a fingernail
- Make small cuts along the sausage so that it resembles the position of the knuckles
Hop, put the sausage in the bread, add some ketchup to make it look like blood and voila, that’s it.
The cemetery cake recipe for Halloween
Yes, I admit, it is a little more complicated, because in order to make a cemetery cake, you have to make a cake. Yes I know, it’s crazy as information. But don’t panic again: even if you are a pastry chefmaking a chocolate cake is not really complicated!
For this recipe you will need:
- 200 g of chocolate
- 200 g of butter
- 110 g of sugar
- 4 eggs
- 70 g of sifted flour
- A package of Mikado
- Some “cat’s tongue” biscuits.
- Oreo
Melt the chocolate and butter. At the same time, in a bowl, you beat the sugar and the eggs. Combine the two preparations and add the flour. Grease a rectangular or square mold and go in the oven for 25 minutes at 180 ° C.
When the cake is ready and not too hot, you can turn it out. Cut many Mikadoes in half and glue them, pressing a little on all sides of the cake to make a sort of barrier. Then plant the cat’s tongues in the cake to make graves and crumble some Oreo in front so that it looks like fresh earth.
If you want to write on graves, you can use leftover melted chocolate and a toothpick as a pen.
Frankly, it slams, right?
