The first season of the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, ended today. While we were thinking about the finale, some details about the new season emerged.

Showrunner Ryan Kondal said that the new season will be full of more exciting and tragic moments. This is reported by Deadline.
“We’ll get to the show. But you have to understand the complexities of these people before you jump into battle,” Ryan Kondal explained.
The broadcaster also noted that there was significantly less sexualized violence in “The House of the Dragon” than in the original episode. Ryan noted that this was done on purpose. “We tried to stay away from anything that seemed unnecessary in the story. That’s why the rape in the eighth drama haunts the audience because they see how a young woman experiences it instead of the event itself. We can imagine rape in terms of its consequences. We’ve seen rape on TV before. You don’t need to see the action itself.”

Recall that the first episode of House of the Dragon garnered 9.9 million viewers from HBO and HBO Max platforms – this is the best indication of the premiere of a new series in the company’s history.
