In the new edition of Portugal Fashion, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada was the special guest. There he showed his classic colorful designs, not missing his heart prints, double-soled shoes and wide dresses. Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada thought that for the next season women should add a lot of primary colors, mini skirts and of course stockings in cheerful shades.
Following the colorful discourse of Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Carlota Magalhaes, a designer from Portugal, filled the catwalk with color and tulle fabric. A collection clearly inspired by Japan and manga aesthetics, that is, black was left aside to bring light pink, large lilac bows or XXXL jackets to the fore.
If you want to find a signature that will help you be elegant from Monday to Sunday, all Carolina Sobral designs will work for you. Simple garments, but at the same time versatile that you can combine with any basic. You, like us, will love using linen fabric that adds that subtle nuance. Menswear has a strong presence at Portugal Fashion SS22 and David Catalan is the best ambassador. The designer proposes tailor-made suits, high-waisted trousers, shorts with ethnic print and of course denim as the protagonist for the coming season. They are designs that seem classic at first glance, but with an urban and casual style that allows the designs to be different.
Midi dresses, square prints with retro aesthetics, variations of shades of blue or tulle lace. These are the main features that will attract your attention from Katty Xiomara’s proposal. From the first dress to the last, it will no doubt remind you of the women of the 1970s with two new adjectives: empowerment and strength through fashion.
It is clear that for the designers in Portugal, the blue color will be the base color of the next season of SS23. Larry Jay continues this tone in his new proposals, where he showed a woman between a retro and futuristic aesthetic that plays with corduroy fabrics, infinite openings and trousers with Vichy check prints.
In the parade of Maria Carlos Baptista, the segregation of sexes does not exist. The designer is clear that the suit is the best piece for both men and women, and it shows in her proposals. It’s not the classic suit we’re looking for, but they’re two-piece designs with plenty of width and playing with the stripe pattern.
The explosion of sensuality was present from the first moment the parade started, in all of Marques Almeida’s designs. Which piece was the most striking and left everyone speechless? The long maxi coat with a red and pink checked pattern took all the attention away from the other pieces. We can’t pass up those awesome yellow crotch-high boots.
In other parades the linen fabric or the diamond pattern were the protagonists, for Nuno Miguel Ramos it was satin and that sensual touch it adds to any blouse or trousers. Here the designer imagines a woman with lots of tulle and monochromatic suits, who as soon as she sees it will want for that Saturday night we want from now on.
Susana Bettencourt is a classic in Portugal Fashion SS2, in other words it is one of the most anticipated parades ever in any edition. What caught our attention? Crochet fabric and its magic in making dresses for a woman who wants to live with lots of color and style next season.
