Russia has banned British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and a list of other top ministers from entering the country due to Britain’s “hostile” stance towards the war with Ukraine.
Besides Johnson, the list also includes British Chancellor Liz Truss, Defense Secretary Ben Wallace and 10 other candidates.
The Kremlin interprets the decision as a result of recent sanctions against Russia, including the freezing of the assets of a catalog of high-profile people living in London after Vladimir Putin decided to invade Ukraine almost two months ago.
It was also filmed after Johnson made a surprise trip to the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, last weekend, where he met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and accompanied him for a walk through the streets of the besieged city.
US President Joe Biden faced a similar ban from Moscow last month. Biden accused Putin of “war crimes”.
