Meghan Markle is the main character of the new issue of Variety magazine. This is the third major interview with Prince Harry’s wife, after their joint publication with Oprah Winfrey and its publication in New York Magazine.

The new interview begins with questions about Queen Elizabeth’s death and her relationship with Meghan. As Markle says, she now feels “love and support” from those around her and is grateful for the opportunity to support her husband in this sad moment.

Meghan also highlighted the rich legacy the queen has left behind – particularly in relation to “female leadership”. He described the Queen as “the clearest example of a female leader”:As Megan said, with her World War II. There was “warmth” between Elizabeth and she is proud of it.

The Duchess of Sussex added that such turning points in life “make you think about where you are focusing your energy.” According to her, she and Harry now have an “energy and enthusiasm” for the projects they’re working on, especially when it comes to charities.

The interview also turned to the Archetypes podcast, which Markle started in August with a conversation with tennis player Serena Williams. The broadcast of the project caused a lot of controversy, including criticism of Megan for being selfish and “interviewing herself”, paying little attention to the guests.

Meghan has responded to the criticism. He added that the podcast’s characters are “really complex, colorful, dynamic individuals with strong stories.”

The Duchess described the unpublished issue with Paris Hilton as the most difficult. Markle admits she was nervous as the stereotypes about Paris fell under her power, but eventually even apologized to her for “letting her judge herself”:

Meghan changed her mind about Paris after learning about her trauma, her life, and “how she got into that character.”

When a Variety reporter asked if Markle was considering returning to her acting career, she replied bluntly:

However, if Meghan and Harry’s kids say they want to be artists someday, their parents won’t mind. Recall that the couple had two children – daughter Lilibet, who turned one year old in the summer, and three-year-old son Archie.

What advice would Markle give to an actress who would one day (100 years from now, as the journalist suggest) play the Duchess of Sussex in a movie? Meghan hopes this girl will “pay attention to qualities like kindness, playfulness, laughter, frivolity” as she prepares for the role.

Meghan was also asked to describe a typical family day. The Duchess said she and Harry were working from home “like many people during the lockdown” so they could spend a lot of time with the kids. In the morning, Markle prepares breakfast herself. Then she and her husband are busy with calls and Zoom meetings, but there are also offline meetings where they usually drive.
