Prince Harry, Elton John and other stars sue Daily Mail

Other stars, including Prince Harry, British singer Elton John, and actresses Elizabeth Hurley and Sadie Frost, have sued the British edition of the Daily Mail. This is reported by Reuters with reference to the law firm Hamlins, which represents its interests.
The cause of the lawsuit was tabloid tapping of celebrities’ phone conversations in real-time and other privacy-infringing acts, including planting bugs in their cars and homes. It was clarified that the plaintiffs had “learned convincing and very disturbing evidence through the publication that they were the victims of heinous criminal activities and gross breaches of privacy”.
The Associated Newspapers publishing house, which owns the newspaper, denied the accusations against the Daily Mail and said that “such slanderous statements have no basis”.
– said the representatives of the publishing house.
For Prince Harry, this isn’t the first time a lawsuit has been filed against the publication – he sued the Daily Mail for libel in February of this year and won. His wife, Meghan Markle, also won the lawsuit against the broadcast.
