Prince Harry and Elton John have filed new lawsuits with Associated Newspapers. Meanwhile, Associated Newspapers is the publisher of British tabloids Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday. The Duke of Sussex and the musician were also joined by actresses Elizabeth Hurley, Sadie Frost and Doreen Lawrence.

According to Variety’s report, three separate lawsuits have been filed against the company in the London High Court. According to the publication, Prince Harry and Sadie’s cases did not appear in court records, but law firms have confirmed that the case has “started”.
Publisher E! The law firm reported that Hamlins (representatives of Prince Harry and Frost) “has become aware of compelling and deeply disturbing evidence by Associated Newspapers that individuals are the victims of heinous criminal activities and major privacy breaches.”

A spokesperson for Associated Newspapers denied the allegations. “We completely reject this absurd slander, which is nothing more than a premeditated attempt to drag the Mail headlines into a phone hacking scandal involving articles up to 30 years old,” the statement said. “These baseless and deeply damaging facts, based on a lack of credible evidence, appear to be a mere ruse by the applicants and their lawyers, some of whom have already tried cases elsewhere.”
Incidentally, this isn’t the first time Prince Harry has filed a lawsuit against a tabloid belonging to this publisher. In July of this year, Prince Harry scored a minor legal victory over the newspaper after a Supreme Court judge ruled that parts of an article written in February of this year were actually false. However, Mail declined to comment on the case.
