Yuri Khovansky posted the first video on his YouTube channel after his release from the pre-trial detention center – the other day, the court allowed him to use the Internet and leave the house.

At the beginning of the video, the blogger joked that he was probably back at the wrong time as he was threatened with the day-to-day blocking of YouTube in Russia, but decided to share his experience of being in jail with his subscribers.

Yuri noted that he could not yet discuss the details of his case, as it was still ongoing, and that he is still on the official list of terrorists, but advised subscribers to follow the laws of Russia, no matter how stupid. see them and don’t go to jail.

He added that before he had always been a patriot and did not plan to emigrate, but being in a pre-trial detention center made him seriously consider leaving Russia.

Yuri Khovansky was in a pre-trial detention center from June to the end of December 2021 on charges of justifying terrorism for singing a song about the 2002 Dubrovka terrorist attack. According to the blogger, she sang the song even before the corresponding article appeared in the Criminal Code, but the investigation is tied to a different version. Khovansky faces up to seven years in prison or a fine of between 300,000 and one million rubles.

Earlier, the blogger wrote an open letter from the pre-trial detention center where she talked about threats from the investigation.
